An extraordinary meeting of the Premio Paganini Committee was held today, which regretfully took note of the statements learned from the press regarding Maestro Salvatore Accardo’s withdrawal to preside over the Jury of the next edition of the Competition.

The Committee noted that, pursuant to the Regulations in force, it is up to the President of Premio Paganini, after discussing the matter with the Committee, to identify the new Artistic Director, who is then formally appointed by the Mayor.

The Committee unanimously confirmed the appointment of Maestro Nicola Bruzzo as the new Artistic Director of Premio Paganini.
