Edward Grach was born in Moscow in 1930. He is an outstanding Russian violinist, a soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic, professor of the Moscow Conservatory, awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. His art is popular in many countries throughout the world.

He was a prize-winner of several international competitions and graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied under Prof. Abram Yampolsky (a founder of the Soviet Violin School who trained a large number of outstanding musicians), performed throughout the republics and districts of the former Soviet Union as well as worldwide, while also maintaining a full teaching schedule. As professor of violin and Head of the Strings Department at the Moscow Conservatory, he faithfully maintains Yampolsky's tradition, heading it down to his own pupils. In accordance to the newspaper "Musical review" Edward Grach was considered to be the best teacher in Russia.

Grach is a member and president of several international competitions. He gives master-classes in different countries (Germany, the U.S.A., Israel, Great Britain, France, Holland, Hungary, China, Korea, Taiwan and others). Edward Grach founded and was appointed the President of the 1st and 2nd International violin competition in memory of A. Yampolsky. Another sphere of Grach's creative work is conducting. He is a founder and conductor of the "Moscovia" Chamber Orchestra.
