The special prize in memory of Maestro Mario Ruminelli for the finalist who obtained the highest number of preferences from the public was awarded to the twenty-two year old chinese violinist Jingzhi Zhang, second prize in the 57th Competition.

An important prize offered by the "Mario Ruminelli" Cultural Association of Domodossola which, by will of his daughter Paola, continues to keep alive the memory of the illustrious violinist Mario Ruminelli, concertmaster at the Carlo Felice Theatre.

The award was presented by avv. Maurizio Rogora, councilor of the “Mario Ruminelli” Cultural Association.
