Margit Sprirk was born in Trento of Hungarian father and Viennese mother, she started to play violin at the age of four with Sylvia Vittoria Alberti and got her first-class diploma with Giannino Carpi in Bolzano. She was Vasa Prihoda and Wulff’s pupil at the State Academy of Basel and got her first-class diploma in virtuosity under Sandor Vegh.

She brilliantly graduated in viola at the Conservatory "Arrigo Boito" in Parma. She made her name at the International Contest of Munich, at the International Contest of Music Interpretation of Geneva and at the International Violin Contest "Premio Paganini" of Genoa. She held the chair of violin at the Conservatory "F. A. Bonporti" in Trento.

She was chosen by Sandor Vegh as a teacher of masterclasses at the High School of Freiburg and also had the opportunity of being Sandor Vegh’s assistant at the International Academy "Ottorino Respighi" of Assisi, at the International Summer Academy of Lenk in Swizterland, at the Conservatory "R. Schumann" of Dusseldorf, at the Mozarteum of Salzburg and at the International Courses "Prussia Couve" in Cornwall. She also held specialization courses at Cascais, Miami and, in Italy, at Sorrento and Cervo.

She was first violin of the "Quintetto Italiano" from its foundation until March 1979. She also recorded for Angelicum, Ricordi, Phonogram, Alpenland, Area and Philips International, for which she recorded in world premiere music by Tartini, Bonporti, Ferrari, Boccherini, Schoenberg, Webern, Zandonai and others.

She leads an intense concert career as a soloist in recitals, concerts with orchestra and chamber groups, with which she successfully took part in various national and international festivals. She joins the Jury of the "Premio Paganini" for the first time.
