He was born in Poland and finished his piano studies at the Conservatory of Bytom (Silesia). He studied composition and orchestra conduction in Warsaw with great success. In 1963 he was awarded a prize at the "Mitropoulos Competition" in New York. After having been active as conductor, he played concerts for RAI, at the "Teatro alla Scala of Milan" and at the National Theatre of Munich. He is currently active as orchestra conductor with the Cappella Cracoviensis of Cracovia.
