Today the Italian Embassy in Paris hosts the event of the 57th International Violin Competition "Premio Paganini", under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic.

At the “Sala della Musica” of the Hôtel Boisgelin, the Artistic Director of the prize, Maestro Nazzareno Carusi, will illustrate to the guests the rules of the 57th competition, published last October 27th, in the presence of the ambassador, Emanuela D'Alessandro; President of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti; Mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci; President of the “Premio Paganini”, Giovanni Panebianco.

Following, Senator Renzo Piano and Prince Amyn Aga Khan will be nominated "Paganini Ambassadors".

For this special occasion, Maestro Michele Sambin will present the video of the theatrical performance "Dell’Anima dell’Arco" (1985) adapted to celebrate the 240th anniversary of Niccolò Paganini.

In the splendid surroundings of the “Sicilian Theatre”, a second artistic moment will take place with the much awaited intervention of Maestro Salvatore Accardo, President of the International Jury of the 57th edition.

The event will end in the name of Paganini with an extraordinary concert by Giuseppe Gibboni and Carlotta Dalia.
