Edition 2006

The jury for the 2006 edition included composers and conductors and not just violinists and violin teachers.

Victory went to a young Chinese player called Feng Ning. Similarly to Paganini, who left Genoa when he was still an adolescent to finish his musical studies in Parma with the famous teacher, Alessandro Rolla, Ning, like many of his fellow countrymen and women, left China to finish his studies in Europe. We trust this victory will be a good omen for his career just as it has been for numerous winners of previous editions.
