Bin Huang entered the world of the music profession when at the age of 14 she was the winner of the "Wieniawski International Violin Competition" in Lublin, Poland, sharing the award with Maxim Vengerov. Since then you have maintained a leading position on the international scene, consecrated by the double victory at the Paganini International Competition in Genoa (1994) and at the International Music Competition in Munich in Germany (1999). Bin Huang has been universally praised for her technical talent and her acting skills, acclaimed as "winner of what matters most" (The Washington Post) and "talent that leaves the listener stunned" (The Sun, Baltimore).
Bin Huang's concert career has led her to perform in the most prestigious concert halls around the world supported by the most prominent orchestras at the moment. She was a member of the artistic jury in the 12th edition of the “Stradivari” Violin Making Competition in Cremona and in the 53rd edition of the “Paganini” International Violin Competition in Genoa.
She holds the degree of Bachelor of Music, the Artist Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the Master of Music and the Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester NY, where she has held the violin professorship since 2015.
The Paganini competition remains one of my most memorable musical experiences. Not only did it open a door for a professional music-making career, but it also gave me the chances to visit different places and meet different people all around the world, some of whom have become lifelong friends. I have grown both as an artist and as a human being since then. I must say that, the title "winner of the Paganini Competition" will always be with me, and I am certainly proud of that.
