Born in 1981 in Israel. She began playing the violin at the age of four, under the guidance of her father, Isaac Malkin, professor at the Manhattan School of New York where she studied from 1988 to 1998.

She graduated from The Curtis Institute where she was a pupil of Aaron Rosand. She has studied with Miriam Fried and Boris Belkin as well.

Malkin took part in the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, winning the third prize.

She has given various concerts and recitals throughout the world, both as soloist and with orchestra, to great public and critical acclaim.

In 2004 she performed at the Concertgebow in Amsterdam, playing with the Nederlands Promenade Orchestra.

In 1996 she made her debut with her sister Anat Malkin, also a violinist, in the Malkin Duo, at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.

The Malkin Duo won the Artist International Auditions in New York. They have given performances in Israel, Italy and throughout the United States.
