Enrico Girardi (Milan, 1964) – professor of Musicology at Università Cattolica di Milano, where he graduated in Modern Literature and then obtained his PhD in Musicology. As a music critic he records a series of collaborations with newpspapers and magazines, as well as with Rai Radio3 and “Classica” TV channel, where he directed a series of short films portraying more than 30 Italian composers.
He is the author of numerous essays, mainly on modern and contemporary music (published, among others, by Feltrinelli, Paravia, Rizzoli, Marsilio, Baldini&Castoldi). As lecturer and text writer, he collaborates with many Italian and European music institutions. His latest publications include a portrait of Daniel Barenboim La musica è un tutto (Feltrinelli, 2014).
