Giuseppe Acquaviva

Giuseppe Acquaviva graduated in violin at the "Pietro Mascagni" Music Institute in Livorno, graduated in Economics and Entertainment Organization at the D.A.M.S in Bologna, and attended the "II Master in Artistic Management" at the Catholic University of Milan. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Carlo Felice Theater Foundation in Genoa. As a violinist he carries out chamber music activities in Italy and abroad (Budapest, New York, Lucerne, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Barcelona, ​​Frankfurt, Paris, Tripoli, Moscow, Oslo, Heidelberg) and is one of the founders of the "Progetto Piazzolla" quintet with which, in addition to establishing himself in various international competitions, he has to his credit numerous concerts for over a decade.

His debut as conductor took place in 2006 in Amsterdam in a lyrico symphonic concert with the artistic ensembles of the Puccini Festival. An activity follows that sees him directing the lyric, symphonic and ballet repertoire at the Lyceum Theater in Shanghai and the Sha Ping Theater in Chonquing, the "Umberto Agnelli" Auditorium in Tokyo, the Sacred Music Festival of Montecarlo (Monaco), the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, the Bartòk Plus Operafestival in Miskolc, the Verdi Theater in Trieste, the Teatro Comunale Bologna, the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa, the Donizetti Theater in Bergamo, the Coccia Theater in Novara, the Teatro Sociale of Mantua, the Verdi Theater of Pisa, the Giglio Theater of Lucca, the Goldoni Theater of Livorno, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Olympic Theater of Vicenza, the 'Orchestra of the Theater Madlenianum of Belgrade, the Opera and Ballet Theater of Astana, the National Opera and Ballet Theater "Abai" of Almaty, the Ekaterinburg Opera House, the Split Summer Festival, the Harbin Opera House , the Theater of the O pear of Belgrade, the Tianjin Grand Theater, the Royal Opera House of Muscat. In 2008 he was invited to the inaugural season of the Grand Theater NCPA in Beijing in a new production of Turandot, performing the new finale of the opera composed by M ° Hao Weiya. He was appointed in 2013 as Principal Guest Conductor of the Astana Opera and Ballet Theater. He was a member of the jury of numerous competitions including the II and III "International Cello Competition N. Knushevitsky" in Saratov (Russia), the 54th Paganini Prize in Genoa, the Placido Domingo 's Operalia. In 2017 he was awarded the “Luigi Illica” Prize.
