Edition 2023

The Premio Paganini flies to Germany: 22-year-old Simon Zhu is the winner of the 57th edition of the prestigious violin competition, held under the artistic direction of Nazzareno Carusi.

Zhu's victory was declared by the jury chaired by Salvatore Accardo - the first violinist ever to win the Premio Paganini in 1958 - and composed of Ilya Grubert (winner of the competition in 1977), Michael Guttman, Régis Pasquier, Christopher Reuning, Maxim Vengerov and Reiko Watanabe.
