Conductor Michele Gamba

He has already conducted in all major theatres in Europe, such as La Scala, Covent Garden, Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper, he has led many prestigious symphony orchestras like the Orchestra Nazionale della RAI, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Tokyo Symphony. As a pianist, he has played as soloist and chamber music partner at London Wigmore, Queen Elizabeth and Royal Festival Hall, Munich Gasteig, Milan La Scala. Born in Milan, he studied piano and composition at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi and graduated in Philosophy at the State University. At the same time, he followed chamber music and piano masterclasses with Maria Tipo at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, and studied Lieder Repertoire and Conducting at the Musikhochschule in Vienna, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and the Royal Academy in London.
